Rasmussen takes the national pulse

BHO’s health care overhaul: Polling numbers unchanged since July

Rasmussen polling numbers released today show just 44% of likely American voters favor the President’s health care overhaul. Support and opposition numbers have remained steady since before his recent speech — unchanged since July. Rasmussen describes public opinion on the issue as “hardening.” 53% remain opposed to the government takeover of medical delivery.

This Rasmussen video report notes that despite assurances by Obama to the contrary, 53% of those with insurance believe they would be forced to change coverage if the proposed takeover is approved. Only 36% disagree. 78% of insured voters rate their coverage as good or excellent.

The survey also finds that 48% believe any government-subsidized plan should be prohibited from covering abortion procedures. Only thirteen percent (13%) believe such plans should be required to cover abortions,

Today’s Presidential Tracking Poll  shows that 32% of the nation’s voters strongly approve of the way Barack Obama is performing his role as President.  40% strongly disapprove.
